This Week!

Math: Topic 3 - Addition Facts to 20. Make 10 to add, using a number line, addition strategies, etc...Homework/Extra Practice sheet will be sent home daily. This is not graded and is optional. I highly recommend doing this with your child at home if you feel they need some extra math help.

Reading: Visualizing and Analyzing characters. Students will be bringing a book home in a bag to read and then return to school the next day. We will continue to go to the library on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays. Reading Buddies is on Friday!


Writing: We are learning about Journaling and writing about the most important details. Also finger spacing and starting a sentence with a capital letter.


Phonics: Final consonant clusters -lt, -ft, -mp, -lp. Words like lamp, melt, help, yelp, craft and gift.


Sight Words: but, not, what, were, all


Science: Skills and tools that scientists use.
