This Week!

Math: Topic 2- Solving word problems and looking for structure with facts to 10. We will start reviewing at the end of the week and test on Monday and Tuesday. Homework/Extra Practice sheet will be sent home daily. This is not graded and is optional. I highly recommend doing this with your child at home if you feel they need some extra math help.


Reading: Main idea and supporting details. We will start guided reading groups this week. Students may be bringing a book home in a bag to read and then return to school the next day. We will continue to go to the library on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays.


Writing: We are learning about Journaling and how to write letters S, T, U and V.


Phonics: s-family blends, words like skip, spot, stop, sniff, smell, swim.


Sight Words: as, with, they, his, hello


Social Studies: How are we good helpers at school?

Reminders:

*Ms. Anderson will be gone on Wednesday because of a district wide grade level meeting. Please encourage your student to be on their best behavior when there is a substitute. Jesse and Ferran had outstanding behavior according to Friday's Sub!
 

*Don't forget to sign up for SeeSaw.

*Friday is the Walk-A-Thon!! Please wear comfortable shoes and dress according to the weather. If you would like to walk with the class please let me know. Don't forget a sack lunch! You may return envelopes on Thursday.
