This Week!

Math: Topic 3 - Addition Facts to 20. Doubles, near doubles, doubles +1, using a number line, etc...Homework/Extra Practice sheet will be sent home daily. This is not graded and is optional. I highly recommend doing this with your child at home if you feel they need some extra math help.


Reading: Main idea and supporting details. Students will be bringing a book home in a bag to read and then return to school the next day. We will continue to go to the library on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays.


Writing: We are learning about Journaling and practicing handwriting. Also using a period at the end of a sentence.


Phonics: Final consonant digraphs like -ng, -nt, -nk, -nd. Words like band, blend, sunk, hang, mint and print.


Sight Words: or, one, had, by, word


Science: Finished Fire Safety, What is science? What is a Scientist?
