This Week!

Math: We are working in topic 1 focusing on adding and subtracting groups.  The Homework/Extra Practice sheet will be sent home daily. This is not graded and optional. I highly recommend doing this with your child at home if you feel they need some extra math help.
Reading: We are learning about story elements: character, setting, problem and solution. We have started going to the library and we will try to go every other day. Please return any books from last year.

Writing: We are learning about writers workshop, the writing process and how to write letters G, H, I, J and K.

Phonics: Reviewing letter names and sounds. 

Sight Words: I am checking individual sight words with each student. 

Social Studies: We about why we have rules at school.
