Substitute Teachers
Dear Parents,
I think it would be a good idea to take a few minutes at home to remind your student about how to act when they have a substitute teacher at school. Lately, I have been gone more than expected. I feel guilty when I am gone because I am very nervous as to how my students will act, which can be stressful, but sometimes I must be gone. When I know in advance of needing to be absent, I have a conversation with the students about proper "sub" behavior. When I return I go through all the notes the sub has left for me and as a class we reflect on how it went and how we can do better next time there is a sub. Many students do their best to be their best, but there are several students who struggle when it comes to having a sub. I think it is best just to have a small conversation at home to reinforce the conversation we have at school.
If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.
Thank you,
Ms. Anderson
